About the Artist

Raised near La Crosse, Wisconsin, Alexandra Hawkins is currently based in Columbus, Ohio pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration at Columbus College Art and Design. She works in both digital and traditional mediums, specializing in general illustration, environment design, character design, ink drawings, and gouache. She makes work inspired by historical, turn-of-the-century aesthetics, fairy tales, and folklore that embark on the journey of storytelling. Outside of illustration, she enjoys creating ceramic pieces, embroidery, and spending time outdoors. 

She is open to working in animation and games specifically for environmental design and visual development, publishing companies, and for general freelance. She is currently available for limited freelance work because of schooling.
